Vegas also has one of the most unpredictable weather conditions during the springtime as it is naturally a dessert so always double-check before your trip on what to expect!
Wheter you are flying into vegas or driving, check the parking situation for the homes! Unlike hotels, most Short Term Rentals do not charge for parking, however there may be a limitation onto how many cars can fit in front of the home. For groups of 8 or more, the best rental car will be a van. Charter Empire or Las Vegas Van Rentals has some great deals for vans that fit 8+ people and can be a great choice for homes with limited parking and going out!
Vegas can be pretty expensive if you are planning on primarily being on the strip. However, I highly recommend looking at places off the strip to eat and still get an amazing experience! Chinatown has some of the best places wheter you are looking for great food or to spend time at an arcade. Mount Charleston and North of North Las Vegas has beautiful scenery as well as fun activites for familes such as an animal sanctuary and orchard where depending on the season you can go to pick the various fruits and vegetables they plant.
For those traveling to Las Vegas from outside of the United States, luckily most if not all areas on the Strip provide free wifi. The connection may not be the best however, so I would check with your carrier to see if they provide free connection for your trip or buy a pocket wifi just in case. Be sure to also bring a charger! Though there are stations around the strip where you can buy a battery pack, they can be pretty expensive.
When visiting Las Vegas, it’s helpful to understand a few local customs and tips to enhance your experience. While the Strip is known for its vibrant tourist culture, locals often avoid it for everyday activities and prefer areas like Downtown, Summerlin, or the Arts District. Tipping is customary and appreciated; typically 15–20% at restaurants, $1–2 per drink at bars, and a few dollars for valet or housekeeping. Dress codes can vary, so while casual wear is fine during the day, upscale restaurants and clubs may require more formal attire. Keep in mind that public intoxication, while common on the Strip, should still be handled responsibly. Lastly, respect for performers, service staff, and casino etiquette (like not touching other players' chips) goes a long way in creating a smooth and respectful visit.
